A family portrait is important for several reasons, and the best thing about them is that you don’t necessarily need a reason to have them done, so if anyone asks, tell them, “Just because,” with a beautiful smile.
Celebrating your family and the connection you share doesn’t need to happen every year just because it’s Christmas, or just because your in-laws are coming to visit and they like to see more photos on the walls. Maybe your daughter recently got her braces off and you’re thinking now would be a great time to do it, or maybe your son is going through a major growth spurt, and you want to catch him in pictures before he outgrows his best jeans.
Your family is unique and you certainly don’t need me to tell you that they’re full of personality. That’s what I’ll be looking to capture on film. The happiness and love you all share and wish for others to glimpse as well.
The way we make this happen is by finding the perfect Napa Valley locale. We’re in the middle of what is one of the most gorgeous and rustic locations in California, so it’s important that we take advantage of that. When we allow your family to be their most candid selves, that’s when the best photos and memories are captured. In clinical studios, it can be difficult to get photos that are true to each individual family member, so outdoor locations are usually the more popular option for the families that I’ve had the pleasure to photograph.
You may even have a desire to include your four-legged pet family members. It’s a totally understandable request and I wouldn’t have it any other way. If we’re going to do this, however, an outdoor location is the most suitable space for it to happen. This doesn’t just include your dogs and pups, but I know there are those who have loving relationships with the equestrian population as well.
When you’re ready to book your family’s next “just because” portrait session, contact me, and we’ll set up the ideal location to capture your happiest moments on film, just… because!
