7 Perfect Napa Backgrounds For Your Wedding Pictures

Part of the issue with picking where you want to wed the love of your life is picking the location to tie the knot. And part of that issue is how you want your wedding pictures to look; what do you want in the background of your pictures? Here in Wine Country, you can create dramatic settings for your wedding pictures.

Wine Barrels

Nothing says Wine Country like some old (dare I say “ancient”) wine barrels that accent your pictures. They add a simple touch to your photos and you can use them as seats, too.

Vineyards

When you choose a winery for your wedding, you have the added bonus of having the straight rows lined with grapevines as a backdrop. These vineyards create a dramatic setting for your special day.

Trees

Depending on where you get married here in Wine Country, you may be surrounded by huge old trees, such as redwoods or eucalyptus, both of which cover the landscapes in certain areas of Wine Country. These settings add an intimate, old feeling to your pictures.

Rolling Hills

Northern California is covered in rolling hills – depending on the season, they will either be a beautiful green or golden color. Add when that fog rolls in during the summer months, you’ve got a natural, magical setting.

Ocean

The Pacific Ocean is an incredible force that crashes into the cliffs on the Western edge of California – there is nothing more fitting to show how strong and durable two peoples love is for one another. (Napa Valley isn’t exactly on the beach of course, but if you’re coming all this way to California and you want to capture some ocean backgrounds, the coastline is just an hour’s drive.)

Farms

Wine Country, especially Sonoma County, is known as a farming community and has many farms to choose from to host your wedding. Farms will give your photos an earthy, humble feel to them. Old trucks and farming equipment add to the old world feel.

Lake

Northern California has huge, calm lakes which would create an intimate backdrop for your wedding ceremony.
